A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CURB AND TRAFFIC MARKINGS AS
RECORDED IN THE STRIPING ATLAS, AND REDUCING THE SPEED LIMIT ON FRADY LANE TO 15 MILES PER HOUR
WHEREAS, the City Council may by resolution prohibit or restrict the stopping, standing or parking on streets, highways, City parking lots or public areas (whether improved or unimproved) within the city, or any portion thereof, during all or certain hours of the day; and
WHEREAS, in June 2014, Council adopted Resolution R-2014-052 which approved the 2013 Striping Atlas which memorialized all existing painted curbs, street markings and signs; and
WHEREAS, since that time several changes to curb markings have been implemented through actions of the Traffic Safety Committee, or upon staffs recommendation; and WHEREAS, those changes have been included in the updated 2022 Striping Atlas; and WHEREAS, due to the narrow width of Frady Lane and limited sight distance at two locations, staff recommends, pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section 22358.3, that the speed limit on Frady Lane be lowered to 15 miles per hour.
