PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible, the Pismo Beach City Council will hold a public hearing for the following purpose:

Description: Ordinances effectuating a Local Coastal Program Amendment adding Chapter 17.119 to Title 17 (1983 Coastal Zoning Code) and adding Section 17.38.145 to Chapter 38 of Title 17 (1998 Non-Coastal Zoning Code) of the Pismo Beach Municipal Code regulating two-unit residential development and urban lot splits in compliance with the California Government Code.
Details about ways to participate in this hearing will be provided on the agenda posted for the meeting online at pismobeach.org/agenda, and on the bulletin board at City Hall. The agenda will be posted in the afternoon of February 10, 2022.
Environmental Review
In accordance with Sections 65852.21(j) and 66411.7(n) of the Government Code, Section 21080 of the Public Resources Code, and Section 15060(c)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines, ordinances adopted by a city or county to implement the provisions of Government Code Sections 65852.21 and 66411.7 relating to urban lot splits and two-unit residential development built in accordance with Senate Bill 9 are exempt from review under CEQA. Furthermore, it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment and therefore the ordinances are exempt from review under CEQA pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines.
You have a right to comment on these projects and their effect on our community. Interested persons are invited to participate in the hearing or otherwise express their views and opinions regarding the proposed projects. Written and voicemail comments are welcomed prior to the hearing. Written comments prepared prior to the hearing may be submitted to the City Clerk's Office by mail, hand delivery, or delivery to the utility bill drop box at 760 Mattie Road, Pismo Beach, CA 93449, by fax at (805) 773-4684, or by email at [email protected]. Generally, written comment may be submitted by email up until the start of the public comment period during this item. Oral comment may be provided prior to the hearing by calling 805- 773-7005 and leaving a voice message. Please state and spell your name, and identify your item of interest. Oral comment may be made during the hearing by joining the virtual meeting using the link provided on the agenda document. Please refer to the agenda for this meeting for specific instructions for participation.
Staff reports, plans and other information related to these projects are available for public review from the City Clerk's Office, by emailing City Clerk Erica Inderlied at [email protected]. The meeting agenda and staff report will be available no later than the Thursday before the meeting and may be obtained upon request by mail or by visiting www.pismobeach.org/agenda . The Council meeting will be televised live on Charter Cable Channel 20 and streamed on the City's website.
