Questions?
Turn Radius Study
Turn Radius Study
•Completed by GHD
•Evaluated both options from the 2018 RRM Feasibility Study •Diagonal Exit at Bello and Wadsworth
•Alternative exit onto Wadsworth, approximately 150 east of Bello •Confirmed that both the diagonal exit as well as the alternative exit would have sufficient turning radius to effectively deliver service to all parts of the community upon exit of the apparatus bay. •The turn radius study was conducted with the currently specified equipment, using a “fixed based exit”. This provides for the maximum tolerance of equipment exiting straight from either of the outer most bays. In a real-world scenario, the fire engineers would utilize the driveway apron to create the safest and most efficient exit.

Questions?
Traffic Control Study
Traffic Control/Device Study
•The study found that the following delay times:
•Diagonal exit impact the intersection for up to 18 seconds •Wadsworth exit would delay response time by up to 25 seconds •In terms of traffic control devices, GDH and Cal Fire both recommended an Emergency Beacon notification system like those on Shell Beach Road adjacent to Fire Station 63.
•Provide for consistency in the community.
•The study outlines the recommend traffic control devices based on the preliminary layout for the fire station.
