Additional Considerations
Are the perceived site constraints still the same ? • Recent Property Acquisition
• Potential Tennis Court Relocation to Ventana Lot • Facade Shift
\TY OF
S
sM0 BEP
Considerations if Driveway Configuration Changes Can Old City Hall be completely removed ?
• Yes, however it would require an Environmental Impact Report.
Is Old City Hall required to be a part of the project? • No. That is completely at the discretion of the City Council. The use of the facade, shifting, or no use of the building, impacts the project parameters.
Can the facade be shifted to allow other options or alternatives? • Maybe, it will require the historical architect to review and provide concurrence (part of DBE team), that it will continue to meet the past historical report conducted by the City and in alignment with state law/guidance.

QSM0 sEa
Historical Considerations
• Questions that historical architect will evaluate :
• What is the change to the built environment?
• Is the change consistent with the site and building history? • How are new materials contrasting the original areas? • Original building versus additional/changes over time • Potential that an EIR will be required
• Results in additional cost and delay of the project \TY OF

Hypothetical Alternative Driveway Locations

Hypothetical Driveway # 1
/bj0 BIE
Considerations for Hypothetical # 1
• Driveway exits onto Bello. Entrance would likely be on Wadsworth, which has grade and retaining wall considerations for apparatus • Likely requires complete EIR, approximately 12-18 month process • Additional concrete (with caissons)
• Mid-block exit for fire apparatus
• Vehicle/employee conflict points
• Additional security/access points for shared spaces and driveways \TY OF

Two Story Fire Station
• Requires reissuance of RFQ
• Delay project and additional design costs
• Simplified construction
• Smaller footprint for caissons (foundation)
• No historic facade- reduced cost, approx. $1M
• Site utilities reduced
• Requires additional property acquisition
• Maintain police and fire operations on site during construction • Will require backing of fire apparatus
• Old City Hall remains unaddressed

Hypothetical Driveway #3
/bj0 BIE
Hypothetical #3
• Would take existing fire station and renovate it for Fire living space • Two new bays (double deep) added to the existing fire station • New police station built closer to Bello/Wadsworth . • Would recommend to square the building off and not have a diagonal • Could maintain the facade of Old City Hall ( used to be the police station)
