RESOLUTION NO. R-2022-069
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH QUINCY ENGINEERING, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $291,000 FOR THE DESIGN OF THE BELLO STREET AND
PRICE CANYON ROAD SIGNALIZATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the intersection of Price Canyon Road and Bello Street is heavily utilized and it can be difficult for vehicles on Bello Street to either cross or turn left onto Price Canyon Road -,and
WHEREAS, with the recent completion of the Bello Street Bridge, the intersection has seen an increase in traffic; and
WHEREAS, the 10-year Capital Improvement Plan and Fiscal Year 2023 budget included a project to signalize the intersection of Bello Street and Price Canyon Road; and WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for professional engineering services for the design of the Bello Street and Price Canyon Road Signalization project; and
WHEREAS, two proposals were received and evaluated by a review panel of City staff and Quincy Engineering, Inc. was selected to perform the work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Quincy Engineering, Inc. (scope provided as Exhibit A) in the amount of $291,000 for the design of the Bello Street and Price Canyon Road Signalization project.
UPON MOTION OF Council Member Blake, seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Reiss, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 2"d day of August 2022, by the following vote:
