SUBJECT/TITLE:
NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE BELLO STREET BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
PROJECT
RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the City Manager to sign, and the City Clerk to record, a Notice of Completion for the Bello Street Bridge Replacement Project.
BACKGROUND:
On April 21, 2020, the City Council awarded a contract to Papich Construction Co., Inc. (Papich Construction) for the Bello Street Bridge Replacement Project. Staff successfully obtained a Federal Highway Bridge Program (HBP) grant to fund the project, which replaced the existing bridge to restore a viable crossing of Pismo Creek and improve public safety and traffic circulation.
Conclusion and Recommendation
Papich Construction has completed the contracted services and the Bello Street Bridge Replacement project has been completed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Staff recommends that the City Council accept the project as complete and authorize the Notice of Completion (Attachment 1) to be recorded at the County Clerk’s office.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no direct fiscal impact associated with this action.
ALTERNATIVES:
1. Since Papich Construction has completed its contractual obligations, the only option recommended is for City Council to approve the Notice of Completion.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION AND ACCEPTANCE
FOR BELLO STREET BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Pismo Beach in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, as follows:
1. That on the 15th of November 2022, the project hereunder described was considered completed and accepted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach.
2. That the description of said project is the construction of Bello Street Bridge Replacement Project, for the City of Pismo Beach.
3. That the name of the political subdivision controlling said project, and the owner of the land upon which the project was constructed, is the City of Pismo Beach, in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, whose address is 760 Mattie Road, Pismo Beach, CA 93449.
4. That the name of the owner/contractor on said project is Papich Construction Co., Inc., 398 Sunrise Terrace, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420.
5. The name of the Surety on the project is Arch Insurance Company, 865 S.
Figueroa St. #2700, Los Angeles, CA 90017.
