• In advance of the meeting, written comments may be emailed to [email protected] or mailed or delivered to the City Clerk’s Office, 760 Mattie Road, Pismo Beach, CA 93449. During the meeting no later than the start of the comment period for your item of interest, written comment may be hand-delivered to staff in the Council Chamber. Emails submitted after the start of the meeting may not be fully considered prior to any action taken on the item.

Item 3.A: 2023 Annual Advisory Body Interviews and Appointments (Inderlied)
Recommendation:
Review of Current Membership
1. Review the membership standing of current Advisory Body members, including training and attendance data, and provide direction to staff if desired.
Review of Incumbents not Appearing for Interviews
2. Review the applications and standing of incumbent Members who have reapplied and are eligible for reappointment, but are not appearing for an interview.
Interviews – Applicants for Multiple Bodies
3. Conduct interviews of applicants who have applied for multiple Advisory Bodies.
Direction to Staff – Traffic Safety Committee Membership
4. Discuss and provide direction to staff, if any, regarding the Public Member seat(s) on the Traffic Safety Committee.
Interviews – Planning Commission
5. Conduct interviews of remaining applicants for the Planning Commission.
Appointments – Planning Commission
6. Complete a ballot selecting preferred candidates for three Planning Commission seats for the term of March 1, 2023—February 28, 2025.

7.Conduct interviews of remaining applicants for the Conference and Visitors Bureau Board (CVB Board).
8.Conduct interviews of non-incumbent applicants for the Parking Advisory Committee (PAC).
9.Conduct interviews of remaining applicants for the Parks, Recreation and Beautification Commission (PRBC).

10. Complete a ballot selecting preferred candidates for three Conference & Visitors Bureau Board seats for the term of March 1, 2023—February 28, 2025.

13. Provide direction to staff on the appointment of a resident to the SLOCOG Citizens Transportation Advisory Committee, by either appointing an advisory body applicant to

the position, or directing staff to conduct a separate and return with a future agenda item allowing the Council to make the appointment.
