Matt:
My suggestions re the FOPH Lease
I am a Past President, and do not speak for the current board, rather as an interested citizen.
FYI:
Typo:
Item 5.f: Change word Barn to Facility. Per earlier in the document you changed Barn to Facility.
Also:
Attached is a more recent map, from my files.
The one you used is functional to ID buildings, but does not include all the adopted park usable areas, nor current parking, nor the proposed lookout trail.
Old outdated maps have a way of superceding more recent ones, if used.
See attached for more comprehensive features. Perhaps staff can create a nice new map for Parks and Rec (and the lease), that shows all the usable/rentable areas.
You may be distracted by the original parcel map boundaries of only 5 acres, but more acreage was added to PHP when the adjacent tract and Rancho Pismo Drive were recorded.
An important usable area is in the end of the park where there was once a replica Chumash Village. It is level, beautiful, and adjacent to the parking lot. It is not shown on the map included in the lease.
An indication of the Anza Trail, and a single trail up to the lookout point are, I think, minimum that should be shown, to represent an offsite extension of trails.
You may or may not consider the map issues germane to the lease discussion, but I want you to be aware, if you were not. And maps have a way of taking on a life of their own.
Thank you for considering this input at staff level.
Best,
Effie
