This class is distinguished from the Finance Manager in that the latter has full management and supervisory authority in planning, organizing, and directing all professional finance and accounting activities within the department.
The Accountant is an entry-level mid -management classification. Incumbents are required to be resourceful, work independently with minimal instruction, while teaming and performing the functions of the position. Final work product is expected to be at a professional level.
