Good afternoon Mayor Waage, Mayor Pro Temp Reiss and Council Members Guthrie and Newton:
Unfortunately, I have a personal physical medical emergency today which prohibits me from attending the Closed Special Meeting and Regular Council Meeting tonight. Under our Resolution R- 2023-021, I can only use two (2) emergency exceptions in a calendar year for any meeting. For that reason, I will be requesting your approval of my request for an emergency exception to attend our Closed Session Special Meeting tonight which convenes at 5 p.m. I wish I could attend our Regular meeting tonight at 5:30 p.m. utilizing the same emergency exception, but I believe I need to reserve that option for the future.
My emergency is due to a physical medical emergency that prevents me from personally attending the Closed Session Special Meeting as I am outside of our jurisdiction and outside of San Luis Obispo County due to this emergency.
