SUBJECT/TITLE:
NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE CITY CORPORATION YARD MAINTENANCE BUILDING REMODEL & ADDITION, CITY HALL 1ST FLOOR SAFETY
ENHANCEMENT AND EMPLOYEE LOUNGE TENANT IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT RECOMMENDATION:
Authorize the City Manager to sign, and the City Clerk to record, a Notice of Completion for the City Corporation Yard Maintenance Building Remodel & Addition, City Hall 1st Floor Safety Enhancement and Employee Lounge Tenant Improvements Project.
BACKGROUND:
On May 18, 2021, the City Council awarded a contract to Quincon, Inc. for the City Corporation Yard Maintenance Building Remodel & Addition, City Hall 1st Floor Safety Enhancement and Employee Lounge Tenant Improvements Project. The project included a remodel and addition to the Facilities Building at the Corporation Yard, safety enhancements for the 1st floor of City Hall and tenant improvements to create an employee lounge.
Conclusion and Recommendation
Quincon, Inc. has completed the contracted services and the City Corporation Yard Maintenance Building Remodel & Addition, City Hall 1st Floor Safety Enhancement and Employee Lounge Tenant Improvements Project has been completed in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. Staff recommends that the City Council accept the project as complete and authorize the Notice of Completion (Attachment 1) to be recorded at the County Clerk’s office.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no direct fiscal impact associated with this action.
ALTERNATIVES:
1. Since Quincon, Inc. has completed its contractual obligations, the only option recommended is for City Council to approve the Notice of Completion.

FOR THE CITY CORPORATION YARD MAINTENANCE BUILDING REMODEL & ADDITION, CITY HALL 1ST FLOOR SAFETY ENHANCEMENT AND EMPLOYEE
LOUNGE TENANT IMPROVEMENTS PROEJCT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Pismo Beach in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, as follows:
1.That on the 6th of June 2023, the project hereunder described was considered completed and accepted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach.
2.That the description of said project is the construction of the City Corporation Yard Maintenance Building Remodel & Addition, City Hall 1st Floor Safety Enhancement and Employee Lounge Tenant Improvements Project, for the City of Pismo Beach.
3.That the name of the political subdivision controlling said project, and the owner of the land upon which the project was constructed, is the City of Pismo Beach, in the County of San Luis Obispo, State of California, whose address is 760 Mattie Road, Pismo Beach, CA 93449.
4.That the name of the owner/contractor on said project is Quincon, Inc., 200 South 13th Street, Ste 101, Grover Beach, CA 93433.
5.The name of the Surety on the project is Great American Insurance Company, 750 The City Drive South, Suite 470, Orange, CA 92868.
