Dear City Council:
I’d like to thank you again for your consideration of the proposed STR revisions provided previously by the STR task force. Many differing opinions and sets of concerns were discussed at length during the four task force meetings. The task force discussions culminated in the proposed STR regulation revisions. I again suggest that the city council consider adopting some or all of the task forces revisions to address the concerns that have arisen from some STR operators.
On that note, I’d also like to reiterate that there are a two to three ‘bad apple’ STR operators that have negatively impacted the community. While there are roughly twenty-five STR operators who have worked as conscientious partners along side their neighbors and community. Your consideration of the large majority of the STRs operators who have successfully cooperated and collaborated with the city to ensure an amicable relationship with the Pismo Beach Community is appreciated.
I hope the city council succeeds tonight in implementing appropriate and moderated STR regulation revisions that will further support the community as a whole.
