A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH INTERWEST CONSULTING GROUP, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $491,897.20 FOR PLAN REVIEW AND
INSPECTION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY WHEREAS, the construction of a Public Safety Facility is a top Council priority for the Fiscal Year 2024 & 2025 budget cycle; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a Design -Build approach to the project will be the most effective; and
WHEREAS, this specialized process will necessitate the use of consulting services to assure compliance with the applicable state and local building codes; and WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for plan review and inspection services for the Project, and Interest Consulting Group, Inc. has been selected to perform the work based on the frm's experience and understanding of the work to be performed; and
WHEREAS, work includes phased approval of construction documents in accordance with Health and Safety Code requirements for essential services buildings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Interest Consulting Group, Inc. in the amount of $491,897.20 for Project Management, Coordination, Construction Management and Construction Inspection Services for the Public Safety Facility Project (cost proposal provided as Exhibit A).
UPON MOTION OF Council Member Guthrie, seconded by Council Member Inman, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 1811 day of July 2023, by the following vote:

City of Pismo Beach I Plan Review and Inspection for the Construction of a Public Safety Facility D. 1, Cost Proposal
Beginning on the 1st anniversary of the Effective Date of the Agreement and annually thereafter, the hourly rates listed below shall be automatically increased based upon the annual increase in'the Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics or successor thereof, Consumer Price Index (United States City Average, All Items (CPI-U), Not Seasonally adjusted, All Urban Consumers, referred to herein as the "CPI"), unless a mutually agreed upon rate increase is established. Such increase shall not exceed 5% per annum. The increase will become effective upon publication of the applicable CPI data. If the index decreases, the rates listed shall remain unchanged.
