A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH PRE CON INDUSTRIES, INC. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT PARKING DIVISION ANNEX BUILDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,149,000, AND FOR TENANT IMPROVEMENTS RELATED TO THE CITY
BUSINESS OPERATIONS CONTINUITY DURING THE PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $315,000
WHEREAS, the Police Department Parking Division Annex Building project consists of tenant improvements to make the building located at 585 Dolliver Street functional as a downtown location for both the Police Department and Parking Division; and WHEREAS, the project also included a bid alternate consisting of tenant improvements at four other locations also related to ensuring continuity of operations for the Police Department during the construction of the Public Safety Facility Project; and WHEREAS, the project was advertised for construction bids and three bids were received on September 14, 2023 ranging from $1,464,000 to $2,078,000 for the base bid plus bid alternate 1: and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder is Pre Con Industries (PCI) with a bid of $1,464,000 and staff has verified PCI's references and qualifications; and WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Capital Projects Fund Police Department Parking Division Annex Building budget and Public Safety Facility project budget are sufficient to support the $1,149,000 and $315,000 contract amounts, respectively.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Pre Con Industries, Inc. (PCI) for construction of the Police Department Parking Division Annex Building project and for tenant improvements related to the City business operations continuity during the Public Safety Facility project for a total amount of $1,464,000 (Exhibit A).
UPON MOTION OF Council Member Inman, seconded by Council Member Guthrie, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 31d day of October 2023, by the following vote:

The Contractor shall comply with the requirements the State Labor Code.
The undersigned further agrees that in case of default in executing and submitting the Contract with required bonds and insurance within ten (10) working days after having received notice that the Contract is ready for signature, the proceeds of the check or bond accompanying this Bid shall become the property of the City.
The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall submit a statement each month certifying that it is in conformance with the City's Affirmative Action Program.
The following Certification of Affirmative Action Program, Contractor's Licensing Statement, List of Subcontractors, Bidders Information List, Bid Security Form and Non -Collusion Affidavit shall be filled out, signed, and submitted by each Bidder and shall be part of the Contract Documents.
