A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CLAD CONSULTING, INC. FOR
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT, INSPECTION AND ADMINISTRATION
SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $148,740 FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT PARKING DIVISION ANNEX BUILDING PROJECT AND FOR $85,830 RELATED TO
THE CITY BUSINESS OPERATIONS CONTINUITY DURING THE PUBLIC SAFETY
FACILITY PROJECT
WHEREAS, on October 3, 2023, the City Council awarded a construction contract to Pre Con Industries, Inc. for construction of the Police Department Parking Division Annex Building project; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of improvements to make the building located at 585 Dolliver Street functional as a downtown location for both the Police Department and Parking Division and one bid alternate consisting of tenant improvements at four other locations also related to ensuring continuity of operations for the Police Department during the construction of the Public Safety Facility Project; and WHEREAS, staff issued a formal Request for Proposals (RFP) for Construction Management, Inspection and Administration Services; and WHEREAS, three proposals were received on October 5, 2023 and evaluated by a review panel; and
WHEREAS, CLAD Consulting, Inc. (CLAD) was selected to perform the work based on the following:
• Understanding the scope of work to be performed
• Methods, schedule and procedures to be used
• Management, personnel and experience
• Consultation and coordination with the City of Pismo Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with CLAD Consulting, Inc. for Construction Management, Inspection and Administration Services in the amount of $148,740 for the Police Department Parking Division Annex Building project and $85,830 related to the City business operations continuity during the Public Safety Facility project (cost exhibit provided as Exhibit A).
UPON MOTION OF Council Member Guthrie, seconded by Council Member Newton, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 17'h day of October 2023, by the following vote:
