TITLE:
Annual Pavement Cut Moratorium Update
RECOMMENDATION:

DISCUSSION:
On March 6, 2018, the City Council adopted Ordinance O-2018-003 amending the Pismo Beach Municipal Code by adding Chapter 12.36, Pavement Cut Moratorium, to Title 12, Streets, Sidewalks and Public Places. The purpose of the pavement cut moratorium is to protect the public’s investment in its infrastructure.
In order to help homeowners, developers, and utility companies better plan their projects to avoid additional costs by this moratorium and to better protect the City’s infrastructure, staff compiles the full list of streets that have a pavement cut moratorium, along with the expiration date of the moratorium, as well as streets that are anticipated to be paved in the coming year or years. The full list of streets is shown below in Table 1 and Table 2, and is also available on the City’s website: www.pismobeach.org/pavementcut .

*Dolliver Street/Price Street is currently under construction as a Caltrans project, however the City is currently in relinquishment negotiations. This roadway will be under the pavement cut moratorium if and when it is acquired by the City of Pismo Beach.
