RESOLUTION NO. R-2024-005
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MATRIX CONSULTING GROUP LTD. IN THE AMOUNT OF $58,000 FOR AN OPERATIONAL REVIEW AND
ASSESSMENT OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND APPROPRIATING RELATED BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS IN FISCAL YEAR 2024
WHEREAS, the City of Pismo Beach delivers critical services to the community through its Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure that the department is structured to meet the current and future needs of the City, staff proposes that an operational review and assessment be conducted; and
WHEREAS, this project will include a current assessment of the department, analysis and finding in work practices, policies, procedure, and use of technology to ensure the highest level of service to the community; and
WHEREAS, an RFP for the assessment was advertised and the proposal from Matrix Consulting Services, Ltd. was evaluated and selected by a review panel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Matrix Consulting Group, Ltd. in the amount of $58,000 for Operational Review and Assessment of the Public Works Department (scope provided as Exhibit A).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby de-appropriates $58,000 from the General Fund Next Level Services budget and appropriates $58,000 in the General Fund City Manager’s Office professional services account budget to support this agreement in Fiscal Year 2024.
UPON MOTION OF Council Member Guthrie, seconded by Council Member Newton, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 6th day of February 2024, by the following vote:
