•PRBC was presented initial design concepts by a graphic design professional. Staff requested feedback from PRBC to give the graphic designer specific direction to obtain final design. PRBC ad-hoc committee selected 4 designs specific to park location (bluff top, hillside, etc.) •PRBC l March 2023

Artistic Version

Versions Based on Style Guide-Public Works
•With the development of a Style Guide that branded the city to help public identify the City of Pismo Beach,
separately from its tourism brand, through clear
communication and a uniform color palette, staff created a park sign that follows the City’s color palette, while keeping a simple design to maintain.

Versions Based on Style Guide-Approved
•PRBC recommended that staffexplorealternativestotheoptionpresentedthatwouldfollowthecriteriaandcolorpalettefromthestyleguidewhilebeinguniquetoCityparks. •Staff reached out to anotherdesignertocreateaparksignthatalignedwithbothCitygoalsandPRBCrecommendations. •Staying within the limits of the StyleGuide, comments from PRBC,andwithstaffinput, the designconsultantdevelopedoptionsforPRBC.
