TITLE:
City Council Confirmation of Department Head Team
RECOMMENDATION:
Confirm the current members of the City’s Department Head team in accordance with Pismo Beach Municipal Code Section 2.08.050.
DISCUSSION:
Pismo Beach Municipal Code Section 2.08.050 provides that the City Manager has the sole authority “to appoint competent, qualified officers and employees to the administrative service and department head employees […]” provided that such appointments “shall only be effective upon confirmation by the council.” This agenda item will provide the opportunity for the City Council to confirm the current members of the City’s Department Head team, in order to satisfy this provision of the Code.

Conclusion and Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council, by minute order, approve the current membership of the City’s Department Head team.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no impact to the adopted budget from staff’s recommended action.
