RESOLUTION NO. R-2024-017
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE PROJECT REPORT EQUIVALENT FOR THE
SHELL BEACH ROAD MULTI-USE PATH EXTENSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, on June 28, 2023, the California Transportation Commission (CTC) awarded the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) $65 million from the Trade Corridor Enhancement Program (TCEP) for the Five Cities Multimodal Transportation Network Enhancement Project; and
WHEREAS, the TCEP award includes funding to construct the US 101 southbound managed lane project, as well as $508,000 to design and $3.6 million to construct the Shell Beach Road Shared Use Path Extension project from Avila Beach Drive to Spygla ss Drive; and
WHEREAS, on November 7, 2023 the City Council approved the Notice of Exemption No. 2023-023 for the project; and
WHEREAS, in order to allocate grant funds for the Shell Beach Road Multi -Use Path Extension project, the City must approve a Project Report Equivalent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby approves the Project Report Equivalent for the Shell Beach Road Multi-Use Path project as presented in staff’s report.
UPON MOTION OF Mayor Pro Tem Reiss, seconded by Council Member Inman, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 19th day of March 2024, by the following vote:
