RESOLUTION NO. R-2024-023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH YODA PAINTING INC. FOR THE CITY HALL EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $102,000
WHEREAS, the FY 2024 budget includes $125,000 to complete wood repairs and painting of the exterior of City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the project was advertised for bids and on March 28, 2024 five bids were received ranging from $102,000 to $142,000; and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder is Yoda Painting Inc. (Yoda Painting) with a bid of $102,000; and
WHEREAS, staff has verified Yoda Painting’s references and qualifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Yoda Painting (scope provided as Exhibit A) in the amount of $102,000 for the completion of the City Hall Exterior Improvements Project.
UPON MOTION OF Council Member Newton, seconded by Council Member Guthrie, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 16th day of April 2024, by the following vote:

The Contractor shall comply with the requirements the State Labor Code.
The undersigned further agrees that in case of default in executing and submitting the Contract with required bonds and insurance within ten (10) working days after having received notice that the Contract is ready for signature, the proceeds of the check or bond accompanying this Bid shall become the property of the City.
The Contractor to whom the contract is awarded shall submit a statement each month certifying that it is in conformance with the City's Affirmative Action Program.
The following Certification of Affirmative Action Program, Contractor's Licensing Statement, List of Subcontractors, Bidder's Information List, Bid Security Form and Non-Collusion Affidavit shall be filled out, signed, and submitted by each Bidder and shall be part of the Contract Documents.
