RESOLUTION NO. R-2024-035
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CHANGE ORDER #4 WITH JACK HANDLEY CONSTRUCTION SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $252,033.26 AND APPROPRIATING RELATED BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS WHEREAS, on January 17, 2023 the City Council awarded a contract to Jack Handley Construction Services (Jack Handley) for the construction of an ADA Restroom at the Chapman Estate; and
WHEREAS, over the course of construction, several issues arose increasing the scope of work resulting in Change Order #1 (issued May 15, 2023 under the City Manager’s Authority); Change Order #2 (issued August 1, 2023 by the City Council); and Change Order #3 (issued on April 19, 2023 under the City Manager’s authority); and WHEREAS, additional was work was completed by Jack Handley under a work directive on a time and material basis to install the sewer lateral, electrical service improvements, plumbing, new awning, wall painting, window floor tiles, roof penetrations and wall insulation; and
WHEREAS, construction of the project is now complete, and the contractor has provided their documentation of the actual cost of the added work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute Change Order #4 (Exhibit A) with Jack Handley Construction Services in the amount of $252,033.26.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby appropriates an additional $25,072 in the Chapman Estate Fund Chapman House Improvements project capital outlay-building account, appropriate an additional $25,072 transfer from the General Fund to the Chapman Estate Fund, and de-appropriate $25,072 of the General Fund operating transfer to the Chapman Estate Fund, all in Fiscal Year 2024.
