RESOLUTION NO. R-2024-037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH,
CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CBJ BUILDING MAINTENANCE, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $762,125.70 TO PROVIDE JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH FOR FISCAL YEARS 2025 THROUGH 2027 AND
APPROPRIATING RELATED BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS
WHEREAS, for many years the City has used private contractors to provide cleaning services for the City’s facilities; and
WHEREAS, the current janitorial services contract expires on June 30, 2024; and WHEREAS, a Request for Proposals (RFP) was advertised on April 4, 2024 and a total of four proposals were received; and
WHEREAS, proposals were evaluated by a review panel of City staff and CBJ Building Maintenance, Inc. was selected to perform the work based on a demonstrated understanding of the scope of work, qualifications and experience, and experience working with local government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with CBJ Building Maintenance, Inc. in the amount of $762,125.70 to provide janitorial services for the City of Pismo Beach for Fiscal Years 2024 through 2027 (scope provided as Exhibit A).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby appropriates $57,202 in the General Fund, Public Works Department, Facilities Division, Governmental Facilities activity, contract services account and deappropriates $57,202 from the General Fund Next Level Services budget to cover the shortfall, in Fiscal Year 2025.
UPON MOTION OF Council Member Newton, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Reiss, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 4th day of June 2024, by the following vote:
