RESOLUTION NO. R-2024-045
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PISMO BEACH, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A DULEVO D3 SWEEPER
VEHICLE FROM NIXON-EGLI EQUIPMENT COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $245,424.13, AND MAKING RELATED BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department strives to provide an exceptional level of services by maintaining clean City facilities; and
WHEREAS, one of the most highly utilized areas is the Pier Plaza; and WHEREAS, in order to more effectively clean the Plaza area, staff obtained a quote from Nixon-Egli for the purchase of a Dulevo D3 Sweeper vehicle under a Sourcewell cooperative government purchasing agreement #093021-FAY and the City’s Purchasing Policy authorizes “piggyback” purchases such as this one upon recommendation of the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, staff determined that this sweeper would meet the needs of the City and would be an important piece of the equipment used to maintain the desired level of service; and
WHEREAS, the Lodging Business Improvement District Fund physical improvements budget has funds available to support this purchase, which is supported by the Conference Visitors Bureau / LBID Advisory Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby authorizes the purchase of a Dulevo D3 Sweeper in the amount of $245,424.13 from Nixon-Egli Equipment Company (quote provided as Exhibit A).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach hereby appropriates $245,425 in the Lodging Business Improvement District Fund physical improvements budget in capital outlay machinery and equipment in Fiscal Year 2025 to support the purchase of the Delvo D3 Sweeper.
UPON MOTION OF Council Member Newton, seconded by Council Member Guthrie, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Pismo Beach this 16th day of July 2024, by the following vote:
