Task 104 1 Alternatives Workshop and Technical Memorandum • Data Request MKN understands that early communication and risk identification leads to cost-effective and successful projects. Task 203 1 Subsurface Utility Location(Potholing) Prior to project design,MKN will host a workshop with the City to discuss project details and to determine the MKN has included one day of potholing by our subcontractor(R.Baker)to positively locate onsite utilities.

City's preferred approach. The agenda for the workshop will be developed with the City at the kickoff meeting, making the most efficient use of time during the workshop. The benefit of this approach is that it will allow for critical design items to be resolved efficiently, prior to extensive design work.A Technical Memorandum will be prepared after the workshop to document decisions and to establish the agreed-upon design criteria. We anticipate the discussion will,at a minimum, include the following items:

1. Discuss construction phasing strategy(evaluate feasibility to temporarily meet storage requirements during construction to reduce construction duration and cost)

2. Establish preferences for control of Charles Street Reservoirs(altitude valves,SCADA,etc.)

3. Develop strategy to ensure future water quality resilience and public safety(nitrification and disinfection byproduct management solutions)
