Measure F-24 sought voter approval to renew a half-cent ('/2 ¢) transactions and use (sales) tax passed by Pismo Beach voters in 2014, as well as an additional half-cent ('/2 ¢) transactions and use tax. On November 5, 2024, the voters passed Measure F-24 with a 62.53% majority. The Department requires that the City enter into a "Preparatory Agreement" and an "Administration Agreement" prior to implementation of said taxes. The Department requires that the City Council authorize a signatory for the agreements. In addition, the Department requires a resolution authorizing the City's sales tax auditor to examine sales or transactions and use tax records.
