PISMO BEACH CITY COUNCIL STAFF REPORT
AsyoBt Agenda Item #9.E
Meeting Date: February 18, 2025
TITLE:
City Acceptance of the "Crescione Lot," APN 005-163-001 RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to accept fee interest in the Crescione Lot (APN: 005-163-001).
DISCUSSION:
The City was approached by representatives of the heirs of former City Council Member Benito "Joe" Crescione in the spring of 2024 regarding donation of real property to the City. The lot is located within Pismo Creek, adjacent to Addie Street, west of the Cypress Street bridge, as shown in Figure 1 below.

Because of the lot's location within the creek, it has little utility from a development standpoint, but acquisition of the property by the City would make maintenance of the creek bank along Addie Street as well as the Cypress Street bridge easier.
Conclusion and Recommendation
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a Resolution (Attachment 1) authorizing the City Manager to accept the deed to the Crescione lot, subject to approval by the City Attorney of the transfer documents.
Council Agenda 2-18-2025 9.E-1
FISCAL IMPACT:
As the lot is proposed to be donated to the City, there is no direct fiscal impact.
