My name is Beate Amler.My husband and I moved to Avila beach fromm the Bay Area 5 years ago.
We went to the Chapman Estate Fundraiser the first year living here.
After seeing this amazing place we fell in love with it.
The news that it might not accessible for the public anymore made us very sad.
I am an artist and support the fundraiser auction with 2 donated paintings every year.
This iconic landmark is a very dear place to us and it should be saved for future generations.
We support transferring the property to the nonprofit Chapman Estate Foundation to preserve it for community use.
Transferring the property would ensure it's continued public access while eliminating cost exposure to the taxpayers.
