Sounds like the Chapman Foundation is asking residents to send letters in support of Letting the Foundation maintain the estate. There may not be many who take the time to write in to oppose this idea so I thought at least one person should say, I am not of that opinion. The Chapman Estate has turned out to be a money pit with no way to produce enough revenue on its own to keep it going without hosting many big events, which the neighbors do not want. And even if they could host many big events, it probably still couldn't raise enough to fix the sea wall. It's sad to let it go, but the situation is what it is and the city should sell to recoup any taxpayer funded money already spent on it.
