For years, longtime Pismo Beach resident and veterinarian, has had a vision to someday help create a spectacular succulent landscape at Dinosaur Caves Park. She is now fighting metastatic breast cancer and would like to make this dream a reality. Her goal is to fund and leave a beautiful and thriving garden for visitors to enjoy long into the future.
Landscape proposal
• Professionally designed and installed beautiful succulent plant landscape • Specimen anchor plants with additional boulders
• Drought tolerant/fire resistant qualities-Signage for public information • Incorporation of boulders/hardscape—no rocks that can be picked up and no gravel top dressing in areas adjacent to pavement
• Additional or future site: In front of bathrooms, in planter between playground and restrooms, and around parking lot planters
• Plant selections not dangerous to visitors (including children or pets) • Height consideration to prevent view blocking for neighbors • Can utilize current irrigation /sprinkler system vs install new drip irrigation Responsible Persons

Nick Wilkinson
• Professional landscape designer specializing in succulent plant landscapes • Co-owner of Botanica Nova landscape-(licensed, insured and bonded) • Owner of Grow Nursery in Cambria
• Member Cactus &Succulent Society of America &Central Coast Cactus &Succulent Society
Scope of Work and Installation Plan
• Maggie Wagner responsible for funding the project (proof of funds can be provided to PBC) • Professionally designed landscape plan to be submitted for comment and approval to Pismo Beach City Council Members or designated responsible parties • Schedule of work confirmed and agreed on with park personnel • Copy of license, insurance and PBC named as additional insured paperwork supplied to responsible parties before work begins
• Nick Wilkinson responsible for delivery of and purchasing plants, soil components, hardscape items, labor, and irrigation supplies
• Ben Trogdon will maintain accounting for project and pay all bills. Budget at$100K Plans for Maintenance
• City provides basic maintenance such as leaf blowing,weeding, etc. • Quarterly maintenance with contracted landscape company-plant replacement,weed abatement, irrigation repair, etc. paid for by Maggie Wagner endowment • Establishment of endowment or non-profit to fund garden maintenance/potential expansion (funded by Maggie Wagner)
