Hello City Council Members,
I'm reaching out to share that I as part of the local community support the Gateway Project for these reasons:

Residential Options: The development will feature 34 new homes, including 5 deed- restricted affordable units, to help address local housing needs.

Convenient Parking: The project provides onsite parking, exceeding all required parking standards for the development.

Vibrant Commercial and Public Spaces: This development will include ground-floor businesses, a public plaza, and outdoor seating areas, creating a lively environment for residents and visitors alike. It will also feature a dedicated commercial area to support new and existing small businesses.

Community-Focused Design: The project prioritizes housing for locals, not vacation rentals, ensuring that the new homes benefit our community members. The design reflects valuable community feedback, incorporating warmer colors, public art, and varied building heights to create an aesthetically pleasing and integrated addition to downtown.

I believe this development will be a significant step forward in enhancing our downtown area's livability, economic vitality, and community spirit.

Best,
Heidi
