Dear Council Members,
My email today is in support of the multi-use project at Price and Dolliver (Project# P24-000074). Over the last several years the City has undertaken the task of modernizing and beautifying our downtown area with new construction, new businesses, new accommodations, improved parking, etc. I view the subject project at Price Street as a continuance of this new vision for Pismo Beach. For too many years there were too many vacant and underutilized parcels in the City, which actually detracted from the appeal of downtown. I've been happy that the City has been moving to bringing in new projects to improve the city core. The Gateway Project will continue this effort and provide a better viewshed, as one exits US Highway 101 on the north end of downtown.
As a 43 year resident of Pismo Beach and a former President of the Sunset Palisades Improvement Association, I would like to lend my support to the Gateway Project.
