Dear Pismo Beach City Council Members,
I understand that you will be reviewing the Pismo Gateway project at the upcoming City Council meeting.
Ross and I have always supported the vision of keeping Pismo Beach “Classic California.” We have no desire to see our city become another Monterey or Carmel.
That said, the triangular lot at the corner of Price Street and Dolliver Street has been underutilized for many years, and it’s time for a thoughtful and purposeful revitalization.
The Pismo Gateway project offers exactly that — an attractive, open, and well- designed development that will significantly enhance the visual and functional appeal of this key entry point into our city.
Beyond improving this prominent corner, the proposed condominiums along Price Street and Bay Street represent a tasteful, high-quality addition to our community.
These homes are consistent with the character of Pismo Beach and will help meet the ongoing demand for housing, while also bringing renewed energy to the surrounding area.
This project reflects a smart investment in our city’s future — revitalizing a long- neglected parcel while preserving the charm and coastal character that make Pismo Beach so special.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I respectfully urge you to support the Pismo Gateway project and help bring new life to this important entrance to our community.
Sincerely,
Joanne & Ross Currie
