I am writing in support of the Pismo Gateway Project. The corner of HWY 1 and Price Street is one of the busiest entrances to the City and for decades, it has been a dead zone consisting of dilapidated buildings, weeds and trash. I drive this intersection between 6 and 15 times per week. This project, as proposed, will revitalize this important entrance to the City, providing much needed housing, some affordable housing units and a commercial anchor for that end of Price Street, encouraging pedestrians to walk the entire corridor, instead of stopping at Wadsworth Street.
