Dear Council Members,
I am writing to express my whole hearted support, for the transfer of the Chapman Estate to the Chapman Estate Foundation.

I like many many others, have great interest in seeing the Estate be treated and shared with all who love what it stands for.

Clifford Chapman had a dream as a child to own this home. As a man his dream came true when he was giving the opportunity
to purchase it.

In doing so he then opened its gates and his heart to share the beauty of the gardens. As well as the warmth of the home for
sharing dinners & gatherings, with open arms to so many friends and guests. ( my Father being one of them.)
It was his hearts dream to leave his beloved home to the area he loved so dear. To be enjoyed by generations to fellow.

As a volunteer I have enjoyed so many days believing his dream sitting in the amazing gardens, enjoying what the dedicated daily devoted
volunteer gardeners, work so diligently in grooming all the beautiful plants.

The begonia house is the shining gem and legacy of Clifford’s mother.

Of which volunteers spend countless hours, days, weeks, months preserving for all to enjoy.

Please except my support for the preservation of the Chapman Estate for the community and visitors of Pismo Beach.

For all to enjoy public access and use for now and for generations to come. Honoring Mr. Clifford Chapman!!
Thank you,
Volunteer Kathy Powell
