Hello, my name is Tyler Holley and I am a local community member taxpayer business owner beachgoer. I'm riding in regards to the issues regarding the catching of large fish mainly sharks off the pier. While I know this is legal and not something that I want to contest, I think it's neat to see the sharks caught in our Waters. However, when they are brought up and they got the sharks cut them open, hang them back down in the water to bleed out slowly.

Essentially chumming which is illegal in the state of California. Why they continue to fish? These guys come down with all kinds of gear in order to catch these bigger fish. They're not catching them with a little pole from Walmart that they brought down to catch perch. They have big hooks on ropes in order to bring them up and hang them down. They usually have wagons, Bluetooth speakers. All kinds of fun stuff. Only thing they don't have is a cooler to put them in and store them properly.. any fishermen that knows what he's doing knows the best procedure is to put your fresh caught sea life directly on ice, especially with our water at an all-time high. It shows the only reason they're hanging those back down. There is to get the attention and social media I've seen up to five hanging at once. We have beachgoers Taurus, locals, surfers lifeguards Junior lifeguards regularly swim around the pier swimmers. You name it. Thousands of people visit Pismo, especially the pier. It seems like an easy ass and a good way to avoid a lawsuit. We've had an enormous amount of documented great whites and it seems like an easy ask. We're not asking them to not be able to catch the sharks, although many of them are small and it seems to be a shame. However, we just asked that they require storage of what they catch. Although these sharks may be long because their tail is almost half of their length, they could easily be curled up into a normal cooler. Any fisherman going down the beach with a wagon full of gear surely owns a cooler. If not a few of us surfers would be glad to provide one. I'm riding in. Regards to this evening's meeting. Hope this makes it in time. I was hoping to make it and cannot due to work in our community.

I've included some pictures of great whites in our area and bloody sharks, hanging off our Pier and being caught on our Pier.
