Mayor Killings called the regular meeting to order at 7:08 P.M. in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 65 Civic Avenue Pittsburg, CA.
ROLL CALL
All members were present.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Chief Albanese led the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
There were no public comments.
CONSIDERATION
Adoption of a Minute Order Appointing a City Council Member to Fill One Vacant Council Seat.
City Manager Garrett Evans noted the finalists for the vacant seat were:
Wolfgang Croskey
Joanna Marie Hernandez
Arlene Kobata
Robert Lewis
Mayor Killings asked for public comments on the item.
Combined Agency/City Council Minutes Page 1 of 2 January 13, 2025 Fani Hansen spoke in favor of Robert Lewis.
After seeing no other speakers, Mayor Killings asked Council to state what qualities they were looking for in a candidate, and asked each Council Member to share their top candidate.
Mayor Killings stated his top candidate was Wolfgang Croskey Vice Mayor Adams stated her top candidate was Arlene Kobata Council Member Banales stated his top candidate was Arlene Kobata Council Member Lopez stated her top candidate was Arlene Kobata On Motion by Vice Mayor Adams, seconded by Member Banales to appoint Arlene Kobata to fill the vacant Council seat and adopted unanimously.

The meeting adjourned at 7:58 P.M. to January 21, 2025.
