Strategic Planning Workshop Agenda
January 24, 2026
1. 8:30am – 9am Refreshments.
2. 9am – 9:10am Public Comment will begin promptly at 9am.
3. 9:10am – 10:10am City Council Teambuilding: Shared Charter Reflection – Facilitator and Council will identify and emphasize utility of the Shared Charter.
4. 10:10am – 10:40am FY 2025/26 Accomplishments and Impact – The City Manager will provide an overview of the Strategic Plan structure and purpose, followed by staff’s update on accomplishments and impact of the Strategic Plan so far.
5. 10:40am – 10:50am Break.
6. 10:50am – 12:10pm Shaping FY 2026/27 – Council Members will have an opportunity to provide their ideas regarding strategic goals to their peers. Staff will lead an exercise to capture consensus for FY 2026-27.
7. 12:10am – 12:40pm Lunch.
8. 12:40pm – 1:30pm Review Priority Areas – Council Members will have an opportunity to present their ideas regarding strategic priority areas to their peers. Staff will capture consensus for FY 2026-27. Then staff will lead a gallery walk exercise where Council Members will vote priority areas into “improve” or “sustain” categories for FY 2026/27.
