SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF RESIGNATION FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION FISCAL
IMPACT: NONE
SUMMARY:
The City has received a letter of resignation from Planning Commissioner (Chair) Christine Schaefer. This action accepts the above indicated resignation and extends the City's sincere appreciation for her service to the community.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:
1. Accept the resignation of Christine Schaefer from the Planning Commission; and
2. Update the City's master Commission/Committee vacancy list to include the vacancy on the Planning Commission.
DISCUSSION:
Mrs. Schaefer has served on the Planning Commission since October 5, 2004. During her impressive tenure on the Committee, she has served as the Planning Commission Chair since 2007. She has also volunteered her time to the community in other ways throughout her years of service. Mrs. Schaefer has indicated her desire to resign from the Committee via a letter dated November 30, 2021. Due to Mrs. Schaefer's health concerns, she has resigned from her duties effective immediately.
Appointment to this and other vacancies are anticipated to be made as part of the City's Commission/Committee application/recruitment process.
