Parking Study Session

• 11.2 million households owning an RV in 2021, with the COVID-19 pandemic serving as a catalyst for the recent rise in RV ownership.
• Increased RV ownerships, limitations in locations to store RVs, and high RV storage rental rates has resulted in RVs to be stored on residential properties.
• Rise in RV ownership led to an uptick in RV complaints regarding the placement of such vehicles or apparatuses. • Complaints prompted the City to reevaluate the RV parking requirements, which only allows the storage of motorized RVs within the front yard area of a single-family property.
