I am writing to inform you of my decision to resign from my position as member of the Placentia Historical Committee, effective immediately.
It is with regret that I step down as a member of the Historical Committee with the City of Placentia.
My other volunteer community and Church obligations have become more time consuming over the last few years. So much so that, at this point, it prohibits me from dedicating my time and energy to fulfilling the requirements of my post with the Historical Committee. have enjoyed volunteering for our amazing, creative, bustling and yet still small town of Placentia.
We have a gem of a city and it is worth protecting our historic roots and managing our current growth.
The last decade or more of volunteer work has been a tremendous experience for me and my family. am grateful for having worked alongside some very special and kind people. However, at this time, it is better for me to allow another member of this great city the opportunity to get connected with historical preservation and continue our work.
Please note, I am not saying goodbye to the Historical Committee and the important work of education and preservation forever, just so long for now. Perhaps in the future and when time permits, we can work together again. I will always be just a phone call away should you need help with a short-term project. I will be glad to lend a hand.
