US PLAN THE FUTURE OF
CHAPMAN AVE!
Take the Online Survey!
1 The City of Placentia has initiated the Chapman
Corridor Revitalization Plan {CCRP)! The goal of
the CCRP is to identify the Chapman Corridor
area as a gateway to the City of Placentia and
to create a vibrant mix of uses to stimulate the
economic and social environment. Revitalizing this
corridor will create an inviting entry that welcomes
residents and visitors while providing a connection
to the adjacent districts and the City's Civic
Center.
Take the Online Survey) Your participation and
input is essential in developing a cam munity
driven plan that reflects our values and the future
of the Chapman Corridor. The survey will take 5 to
10 minutes and will remain active until Saturday,
June 10th, 2023.

If bikes are prioritized on Chapman what
routes are appropriate for connections to
other areas of the City?
• Old Town (within Old Town Revitalization
Plan area)
• Bradford Avenue
• Kraemer Boulevard
• Placentia Avenue
• Consider connections to future
Metrolink Station
Mobility
• Intersection improvements will be developed through
traffic study.
• Alternative bike routes to be explored.
• Traffic counts first week of October.
• Trip generation based on approval to move forward with the Proposed Land Use Plan.
Staff Recommendations
• Leave Old Town parcels alone
• Reduce boundary between Murray St & Main St
• Staff recommends addition of flex designations where
appropriate, while allowing underlying zoning to remain • Staff recommends no on -street parking on Chapman from Bradford to the west
• Staff recommends bike lanes on Chapman Avenue
wherever possible (without losing travel lanes) even if westbound only
Discussion
Policy Questions
• Are 3 to 4 stories (and possibly 5) appropriate heights for the Chapman Corridor?
• Are there any other land types of uses should be
considered or more strongly encouraged?
• Do you agree with Staff on
• Proposed Designations?
• Street Parking and Limits?
• Street Design? What types do you prefer?
Next Steps
October -January:
• Traffic Counts
• Draft Plan
• Initiate Technical Studies
Spring 2023:
• Conduct an Economic Benefit Analysis (upon completion of land use changes and buildout)
• Council approval of Corridor Revitalization Plan, initiate any necessary CEQA studies (final Plan adoption with CEQA
certification)
Ongoing:
• Community Outreach -through website updates
On A Parallel Track:
• Initiate a Chapman Corridor Streetscape Master Plan
