When I joined the Commission in 2017, our parks received few resources despite efforts of the legacy Commissioners r
aandstaff� to change the narrative.
A few years later, IFv1easur e U was voted in butparkswere'll not •air , our i" stir, a 1,.,,, share. It was not until our
dedicated staff, supported by the Commission, presented a new narrative to the City, that Measure U started funding park Infrastructure.
I am excited to witness the positive change In our parks. I am humbled by the time and effort our staff dedicate. I am thankful to have met ail of you. I am hopeful for what lies ahead.
Having shared these words, I tender my resignation from the Commission. Due to other obligations, I am unable to continue dedicating my time to the Commission. i want to step down so a new community member can get involved.
Since I have a grad school class tonight, I will not be at tonight's meeting.
