Dear Andrew,
I am writing to formally retire from the Placentia Historical Committee. I do this with some regrets, for I've enjoyed the activities of that committee and the contributions those on it have made to preserving and recording the city's history. But I am feeling my age and limitations, and I feel it is time to give my seat to another person.
I will remain available for occasional activities and ideas for projects if my areas of expertise could be helpful. I am interested in seeing my history of the city updated to the present. I have already contacted the history department at CSUF enquiring about any students or faculty who might be interested in this project.
Please pass along my best wishes to committee members; it has been a real pleasure working with all of you.
