A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL ACCEPTING THE 2021 SIGNAGE & STRIPING PROJECT (VARIOUS LOCATIONS), PROJECT NO. 04-21, AS COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO
ISSUE AND RECORD A NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, the City has adopted the FY 2020-2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), which includes the 2021 Signage & Striping Project (Various Locations) No. 04-21 as part of the Existing Street Striping Maintenance Program (Project M-2 in the CIP) as a funded project; and WHEREAS, the 2021 Signage & Striping Project (Various Locations) No. 04-21 maintained and upgraded pavement markings, reflectors, striping, and signs; and WHEREAS, on December 20, 2021, the City Council awarded a contract to Chrisp Company to perform work described in the contract documents entitled 2021 Signage & Striping Project (Various Locations), Project No. 04-21; and
WHEREAS, the work has been performed to the satisfaction of the City and Chrisp Company is requesting final payment for the completed work; and WHEREAS, the California Public Contract Code requires the City to notify the public of acceptance of a project prior to making a final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill finds that the work performed as the 2021 Signage & Striping Project (Various Locations), Project No. 04-21, is complete to the satisfaction of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Engineer is authorized to execute a Notice of Completion and record it with the Office of the Recorder of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, within ten (10) days from the date thereof.
