RESOLUTION NO. -22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL ACCEPTING THE OAK PARK AND MONTICELLO IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 02-20
AS COMPLETE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO ISSUE AND RECORD A
NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, the Oak Park and Monticello Improvement Project No. 02-20 is identified as a budgeted and approved project in the FY 2020-2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) (Project MK-5); and
WHEREAS, the Oak Park and Monticello Improvement Project provides for public roadway and utility infrastructure improvements to service the new City Library building, the proposed Recreation and Park District athletic fields, the housing development at 1750 Oak Park Boulevard, and the nearby Pleasant Hill Middle School; and WHEREAS, on May 18, 2020, the City Council awarded a contract to Ghilotti Brothers, Inc. to perform work described in the contract documents entitled Oak Park and Monticello Improvement Project No. 02-20; and
WHEREAS, on June 29, 2020, the City Council approved a change order for the installation of additional sanitary sewer and storm drain infrastructure, which were not initially included in the contract documents; and
WHEREAS, the work has been performed to the satisfaction of the City and Ghilotti Brothers, Inc. is requesting final payment for the completed work; and WHEREAS, the California Public Contract Code requires the City to notify the public of acceptance of a project prior to making a final payment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill finds that the work performed as the Oak Park and Monticello Improvement Project No. 02- 20, is complete to the satisfaction of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Engineer is authorized to execute a Notice of Completion and record it with the Office of the Recorder of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, within ten (10) days from the date thereof. (Signatures on the Following Page)
