SUBJECT: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. ___-22 APPROVING THE FY 2022/2023 THROUGH FY 2023/2024 BIENNIAL BUDGET AND RESOLUTION NO. ____-22 AMENDMENTS TO FY 2021/2022
SYNOPSIS
Staff prepared the Fiscal Year 2022/2023 through 2023/2024 (FY 22/23 & FY 23/24) Proposed Biennial Budget, attached. Staff is seeking City Council adoption of the FY 22/23 & 23/24 Proposed Biennial Budget and amendments to the FY 21/22 Budget with the recommendation from the Budget Committee at its June 15th meeting.
DISCUSSION
Background
The City Council adopts a budget that matches the services desired by the community with the financial resources required to provide those services. The Budget Committee held multiple public meetings to deliberate on the Biennial Budget. At the June 15, 2022 Budget Committee meeting, the Committee approved forwarding the FY 22/23 & FY 23/24 Proposed Biennial Budget and amendments to the FY 21/22 Budget to the full City Council with a recommendation to adopt.

FISCAL IMPACT

Public Contact was made through posting of the City Council agenda on the City’s official notice bulletin board, at the Pleasant Hill Senior Center, and at the Pleasant Hill Police Department.

RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION
Adopt resolutions approving the FY 22/23 & FY 23/24 Proposed Biennial Budget and amending the FY 21/22 Budget.
ALTERNATIVES TO RECOMMENDED ACTION
Do not adopt resolutions approving the FY 22/23 & FY 23/24 Proposed Biennial Budget and amending the FY 21/22 Budget, and provide direction to staff.
