SUBJECT: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. ___-22 APPROVING THE FY 2022/27
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN AND EXPENDITURES FOR FY
2022/23 AND FY 2023/24
SYNOPSIS
Staff has prepared the Draft FY 2022/27 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and Expenditures for FY 2022/23 and FY 2023/24, and presented it to the Budget Committee. With the Budget Committee’s recommendation, staff is now seeking City Council adoption of the FY 2022/27 Capital Improvement Plan and Expenditures for FY 2022/23 and FY 2023/24.
DISCUSSION
Background
Every two years, the City Council adopts a budget that matches the services desired by the community with the financial resources required to provide those services. The City Council also adopts a CIP that appropriates funds to priority capital projects. The Planning Commission reviewed the FY 2022/27 Capital Improvement Plan at its June 14, 2022 hearing and adopted Resolution No. 13-22 that found the proposed CIP consistent with the General Plan.
At the June 15, 2022 Budget Committee meeting, the Committee reviewed the Draft FY 2022/27 Capital Improvement Plan and Expenditures for FY 2022/23 and FY 2023/24, and recommended that staff present this document to the City Council with a recommendation to adopt.

Public contact was made through posting of the City Council agenda on the City’s official notice bulletin board, at the Pleasant Hill Senior Center and at the Pleasant Hill Police Department. The agenda and staff report are posted on the City’s web page.
RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION
Adopt a resolution approving the Draft FY 2022/27 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and Expenditures for FY 2022/23 and FY 2023/24.
ALTERNATIVES TO RECOMMENDED ACTION
Do not adopt a resolution to approve Draft FY 2022/27 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and Expenditures for FY 2022/23 and FY 2023/24, and provide direction to staff.
