RESOLUTION NO. -22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ADVANCED MOBILITY GROUP TO
PREPARE A LOCAL ROADWAY SAFETY PLAN
WHEREAS, the California State Department of Transportation (Caltrans) requires all local agencies, including the City of Pleasant Hill, to prepare a Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP) in order to be eligible to pursue current and future Federal, State, and Regional transportation grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the Local Roadway Safety Plan provides the City of Pleasant Hill with a citywide framework to develop projects to address multi-modal transportation safety needs for all users, including bicycles, pedestrians, and vehicles, and to prioritize implementation; and WHEREAS, in 2019, Caltrans allocated an LRSP State Grant of $40,000 to the City of Pleasant Hill to fund the preparation of a Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP); and WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant Hill desires to utilize the professional services of Advanced Mobility Group (AMG) for preliminary engineering to prepare a Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP); and
WHEREAS, Advanced Mobility Group (AMG) has submitted a proposal to the Public Works and Community Development Department, which is complete and acceptable; and WHEREAS, Advanced Mobility Group (AMG) has submitted a fee proposal for an amount not-to-exceed $40,000 based on time and materials;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill that the City Manager is authorized to execute a Professional Services Agreement with Advanced Mobility Group for engineering services to prepare a Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP) in the amount not to exceed forty thousand dollars ($40,000).
