RESOLUTION NO. -22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANT HILL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LCC ENGINEERING AND SURVEYING, INC. FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE FY 2018/2020 MEASURE K PEDESTRIAN
AND BICYCLE PROGRAM FOR THE TAYLOR BOULEVARD - CIVIC DRIVE
INTERSECTION AND PATHWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City has adopted the FY 2022-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (“CIP”) which includes the Taylor Boulevard – Civic Drive Intersection and Pathway Improvement Project (“Project”) (MK-3B); and
WHEREAS, the Project providesfor public roadway infrastructure improvements on Taylor Boulevard between Civic Drive and Ruth Drive; and
WHEREAS, the City and LCC Engineering and Surveying, Inc. (“Consultant”) entered into an Agreement for Professional Services (“Agreement”) for engineering design of the Project on June 10, 2019, at a total cost of $212,300; and
WHEREAS, Consultant has submitted a cost proposal to provide additional design engineering and surveying services required to complete for the Project that are needed by the City and beyond the original Agreement scope in an amount not to exceed $60,000 (including a 10 percent$5,000 contingency); and
WHEREAS, City staff has verified that adequate funds are available in the Measure K Fund to support this additional expenditure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Pleasant Hill:
1. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the First Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement (Exhibit 1) with LCC Engineering and Surveying, Inc., attached hereto as Exhibit 1 and in a form to be approved by the City Attorney. [Signatures on Following Page]
